Hi,
I often watch movies at http://redcurtainmovies.com on my pc. I was just wondering if there is a hack or something that will alow me to watch these movies on my psp. The problem is that they are streaming and use a player called "divx Player"
Thanks

Then I suggest that you post a question about it in a forum devoted to the PSP, instead of doing it here in the PS2 forum.I often watch movies at http://redcurtainmovies.com on my pc. I was just wondering if there is a hack or something that will alow me to watch these movies on my psp.
That is only half of it, and is presumably only needed for offline playing after downloading a movie. But I just browsed there and tested online viewing of a movie (without registering), and this did not use any separate divx player, though it did require downloading a new Firefox plugin, which then handled the display of the movie. The problem is that they are streaming and use a player called "divx Player"
I know very little about the PSP myself, but I doubt very much that anyone has made any similar plugin for it, as would be required for online viewing of these movies.
Edit:
Further inspection of my PC shows that although I was only asked to confirm the installation of a Firefox plugin, the same installer also forcibly installed two Windows applications without asking my permission to do so. As may be expected one of those two was the movie player you mentioned (possibly used by the plugin too) and the other was a content uploader. IMHO such installation of softwares without informing the user verges on malware activity...!!! So I have now uninstalled all of that unwanted garbage. MPC has no problems playing DivX files as-is, and for the PS2 SMS does the same job just fine. As for online viewing, I'd rather abstain than accept unnecessary crap installed to my system.
Btw: Since the SMS player for the PS2 has no problems playing a movie from that site offline, I expect that the same may already be true for some PSP player as well (".divx" is virtually identical to ".avi"), but I wouldn't expect an online player anytime soon.
