naplink over pl2501

Post by bERNIE »

Hi,

Is there any way to make naplink work using a PL2501 cable, instead of PL2301/PL2302? If not, does anybody know if it's on naplink's roadmap to support this chipset?

Naplink only supports PL2301/PL2302 as it only includes the npm-2301.irx IOP driver. To make it work with other cables, the npm-2301.irx probably needs to be reversed, so the interface and details of the driver can be used to make another driver. Or you could try to email the Napalm members and maybe they will give you the source to npm-2301.irx or atleast the interface definition.

Naplink got "discontinued" after version 1.0.1a (released in 2002) and most people use PS2Link now.
