The only thing to mention is that the mplayer output is being shown directly below the picture but I can suppress this by redirecting the output to /dev/null. Would you mind if I am spreading an Ubuntu Howto (including some .debs) to a wider co...

That worked a few days ago on my gentoo installation; now I'm getting the error: /usr/bin/ld: powerpc:common64 architecture of input file `../spu/cesof/spu_yuv2argb_scaler_csf.o' ...

Hi guys, thanks for the ps3 vo module. I just the installation guide and the compilation did work without any issues. However, when trying to play whatever format Mplayer crashes with the following message: AVI file format detected. [aviheader] Video stream found, -vid 0 [aviheader] Audio stream fou...

take a look into this dicsussion: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/270856 Upgraded this morning (fairly recent svn backend). A few initial observations:- - PS3 seems to lose its connection to the mythtv server if you stop browsing recordings etc and then go back in. Need to reboot ...

regarding MythTv I've found the following statement: UPnP-clients server/hardware that are not (yet) compatible with MythTV: . . Sony PS3 - Firmware 1.80 added the ability to stream music, pictures and video from DLNA-compatible devices. At this point, it does not detect MythTV (v 0.20) as a streami...

no, it doesn't:( but for Windows you can try tversity: http://tversity.com/home. I'd be more than happy if mythtv could transcode on the fly or even better if Sony adds some of the important codecs to the PS3. Update: Ups, I was a little bit to fast: http://mythstreamtv.sourceforge.net/ ... but it i...

My PS3 now uses gdm to auto-login and fire up MythTV which, after some fiddling with mplayer settings, works quite nicely. Displaying 1080i video seems to take around 50% cpu. adavidm Adavidm, how did you configure your mplayer for Mythtv? I just installed it using the defaults (only the frontend) ...
