Most projects can be compiled from source with:
./configure --prefix=/usr
make
(as root) make install
if you're missing the boost libraries, try downloading and compiling them from here:

Overheating problems in OtherOS?
Shortly after coding in the OtherOS environment, I've been experiencing symptoms indicative of a GPU overheat. In games, I'm getting shimmering effects on certain textures, and various artifacts/glitches. I'm not sure if this is thanks to some game pushing the hardware too hard, dust, or something e...

The OtherOS framebuffer is limited to 3.5MB? I didn't know that. Still, if Xorg can get HD res, there must be a way to get it for SDL. I'd be willing to take a look at the source, but I don't have a lot of experience with graphics programing, so I may of limited help. Also, I may have to send back m...

HD Resolution on my SDL project
Hi, I'm working on a project that will eventually run from a stripped down linux distro. I'd like to forgo X11 if possible. I've been writing it using 2D SDL to the framebuffer, running everything from the command line. But I can't get a resolution higher than 640x480. The PS3 framebuffer is set to ...

Hey, good to hear from you again. You should check out PSUbuntu.com and register for the forums. I am trying to write all kinds of HowTo guides for new Linux users. I am sure you could add some useful guides. Anyway ... it's not about who did what first. You had a great idea that helped many people...

I don't think Sony is an any hurry to make RSX available. Its a question of copyright protection for them. And i'm pretty sure its blocked by the hypervisor rather than a lack of driver support. Don't expect RSX homebrew without the usual exploits/modchips/etc. However, the Cell seems to have a lot ...

PSP Video Resolution
Hi, i've had some luck converting DVD movies to PSP-compliant MP4 with the resolution 360x208. It stretches to fit the PSP screen quite nicely. However, now i'm trying to convert a DVD of TV Episodes and its 4:3 resolution. I read that PSP needs resolution divisible by 16, so i did some math and fou...

Heh, i was just about to fall asleep and it occured to me that the connection was probably digital so, it would me more difficult than just a 2 wire solder job. But with a laptop LCD panel, they are sort of custom to their model, i would guess this is sort of similar. But there's no reason to believ...

Video Out?
Is there any hope for a video out either from Sony or through hacking? Could any of the jacks on the PSP be possibly used for an output? What about through hacking? I would think it would be possible to find the wires that connect to the LCD and split them so they go to an output jack as well. Obvio...
