Is it really impossible/at least very hard to call PSP functions from within uCLinux? I'd have assumed it would be relatively easy, since the PSP's firmware should still be loaded, underneath uCLinux. I'm afraid that as soon as uCLinux starts up, it wipes the firmware out of memory entirely and run...

Does it look like I care what anyone says? Sadly not... Anyway, Sony can't patch the UMD once it has been printed, granted, but they can (and have, in all the previous user mode exploits) patch the firmware so that the exploit doesn't work. And also, the reason that it works in 5.55 is probably the...

But how apply *.gz patch? lol, there are no answer... and where dosbox.conf? It's a f*cking sado-mazo, installing the program, with the pc-version of that...

There's really no need for personal attacks. If you don't agree with what someone is saying, best thing to do is to just ignore them (unless it is particularly stupid). I'm not moonlight, but I can answer that question.

HELL NO! Writing to flash just to change the region would be stupid. The firmware most likely hooks a function that the vsh uses to determine the region and fakes it that way.

License aside, I just want to point out what you are actually letting yourself in for. Even if you were to reuse the original resources (e.g. art, music, text), completely rewriting the engine would take a lot of knowledge, and you would have to reverse engineer the game to find out how the resource...

You cannot go in the office of your favourite programmer and say "Well mark, can you put a doThis button in your next program?" I don't mean to be unpleasant, but i don't think nicotrial is going to program something like this if he/she can't find it ready, and i guess we'll never see it ...

Hi everyone, Recently I upgraded my psp to 3.71 and downloaded the prxtool from this site to try to look into the 3.71 firmware. I never tried to do anything with the prx before hence I don't know if it has always been this way since the beginning. but in my psp, all the prx modules are located in ...

I have released a new bootloader v0.22 capbable of running on 2.0+ firmware and slim PSP (in theory). It has ...

Well, modifying a prx won't get you what you want - it isn't a simple hex, or even a hex at all. You'd need to write an entirely new driver, or use the existing usbhostfs on both the host device and the PSP.
