Re: PSP exploits: 3k 5.50 - 6.xx+...

I've seen many posts on other forums -n- stuff about exploits on 6.20. there is a psardumper that decrypts the firmware, could this be of use on psp 3k? i managed to decrypt 6.20 using psp 1000 5.00 m33, but idk if it will do any good for 3k... there are also claims for 6.20 exploits that are said ...

Uhm... the code isn't really obfuscated, and it takes literally less than 3 minutes to disassemble. As said before, it was probably not cost-effective to disassemble whole CFWs, as they contain thousands of lines of code, but in this case it's only a dozen. *EDIT: Just checked... In the latest M-33 ...

It slightly reduces the number of people who can understand it, which is the main goal here I think. The lambda-user will not be interested by the source code of the eloader in the first place anyway, and, TBH, the people who can fix the syscall code in SCE will most probably be able to understand ...

Yes, the source is released (not all of it, but 90% and fully buildable) here: http://advancedpsp.tk/foro_es/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=141 If you have any questions about the inner workings, I would answer them gladly, just read this before to get the basics: http://advancedpsp.tk/foro_es/viewtopic....

Your main PRX tries to import the exports of netlib, which it itself will load, so it won't even boot. There are a few ways to work around this, search around the forums. Oh, and by the way, forget it, there is no way to capture raw packets on the PSP :) And even less possibility to inject anything.

Uhm... why? devkitpro is fairly well maintained and updated. The .sh script has been made (as you can maybe guess) for linux only. I guess it is somehow possible with a lot of tweaking (otherwise WntrMute wouldn't have managed to integrate pspsdk to his toolchain) but not really worth the effort.

Re: Porting

Could it be possible to port the pspsdk to djgpp? It is theoretically possible, you're however better off using the mingw (no cygwin) port of devkitpro (http://www.devkitpro.org/). Where you _really_ need djgpp is on a 16bit system, which would probably have no usb support anyway. @PosX100: Try to ...

Are you sure of this? Having looked at the latest WinCE 6 SDK, there seems to be a possibility to have no MMU for MIPS targets. (With most of the prebuilt binaries sadly becoming incompatible)

I think to make it work you just need to use the usbmic exports, instead of usbcam, but the API is the same.

Uhm, scratchpad ram? You mean the piece of sh*t which noone uses, not even sony? I don't recall seeing any copy to scratchpad, but only to BFC/BFD memory areas which get remapped for the occasion.

Uhm....

if you search for a way to do it without another PRX, the way will be more complex and will take up more space than a dumb prx... Plus, there is plenty memory in VSH if you know where to look.

The fact that you had such a fast speed with one read of 16 contiguous clusters is because the memory stick driver detected that they are positioned one after the other and decided to do a DMA read - which as you might expect is faster. And, as you mentioned "reading at once" (and writing)...

Yes, you can update the internal chip FW, and very very easily, which exactly what wlanfirm_magpie.prx and the other one do. However, you need to update it with the correct one :) Sony interface the WLAN controller with a memory stick host interface, and I am sure the WLAN firmware somehow takes thi...

I looked at the usbcam.prx and it seems that the still resolution and video are linked. That is if you set a still image resolution higher than 1024x768, you have to decrease the video framerate to 15 FPS. Ask Sony why, but it seems like they're have been taking some design shortcuts recently :) As ...

From what i can understand - after deciphering for a while - you're not giving enough information. You should post the relevant code instead of asking a general question...
