I'm slightly confused, weren't the UMDs 720*480 video? Surely that means it can decode higher resolution than 480*272

I thought this code meant that the PSP could decode "XviD files" faster than simply changing the container to pmp (which works reasonably well). Was I wrong in that aspect?

I'm sorry, can someone please tell me how to load this under the PSP to play XviD files? I don't have any coding experience.

Thank you.

I'm sorry for bumping this with no useful information, but I am wondering if an application has materialised from this code. If not, is it even feasible? Would the PSP be able to decode XviD at 480p at 30fps?

There are other applications that decode Xvid avis but nnowhere near 272p at 30fps.

display in 1366x768

Is there any way to have linux display in 1366x768 or is it only 720P/1080P/1080i?

It seems only logical to have an output in this resolution as 95% of HDTVs have this native resolution.

Isn't RSX the display driver-doesn't that mean we can't get proper output unless it goes through that? And sure the cell can decode the data, but don't we need RSX to display the data properly? Sorry if I'm being dumb.

PS: I think the subject of my previous message negates the AACS problem.

Are you using a 1080i input or output? I.e., are you viewing a video that has 1920 by 1080 pixels or just an SD video output to 1080i?

If it's the former, please let me know if 720P videos work smoothly with your choice of application.

I can also confirm that USB hotplugging *does* work in the XMB and repartitioning does not delete your username/password for the PSN. i.e. it still shows up automatically after you repartition.
