Some Unix versions (e.g. Solaris and maybe some BSDs) have two Makes. The first one is some generic make and the second one is the GNU Make which is called gmake. On Linux and Cygwin GNU Make is installed just as make.

Quicktime's v7 preview is way too slow, even on my 3000+ with 1gb of ram it won't play 720p decently, so I hate to think what it'd be like for encoding, and everything else seems to be overly complicated or not available in binary form. The bes...

The problem lies within SS. You could try the newest version (3.1). And if it doesn't work, send some feedback from the help menu.

Really? When did they turn off the transmitters? Ours are due to go offline in 2009.
It depends on region. At least Berlin is fully digital now.

Interactivity is part of MPEG-4 Systems. There is about two players in the world which can play that kind of files. Simple profile refers to used video codec only. It is possible to put multiple audio tracks and subtitles into a mp4 file used by psp but I'm pretty confident that PSP's media player c...

Some guys have been bruteforcing 64 bit viaccess for at least five years now without any result. Bruteforcing 65 bits will take twice the time of 64 nad so on. If we assume that bruting 64 bit aes will take two years, it will take 2 * 2^192 years. And there is also another problem. The binaries are ...

A simple serial interface with firmware independent update code running on the device would be better idea in devices like psp.
