Question regarding alternate use of audio +remote jack

Recently i've been exploring the possibility of generating video output on PIC microprocessors for simple games like pong, which are, though simple, entirely possible, such as this breakout game here : http://www.acm.uiuc.edu/sigarch/projects/breakout/ It resulted in me wondering if a similar sort o...

So did MPH with his own downgrader, beside at least we didn't code any warez iso loader. So wait, doing something illegals not the same as doing something illegal now?, and yoshi didn't code retail from-memstick game loaders? This threads gone way of topic since you started posting, and resulted in...

but also requires the use an extracted firmware (whitch is illegal) Not to add to flames here but unless i'm mistaken, the tif exploit downgraders use a file from the 1.00 firmware, so the 'psp-1006 and 1007' downgrader you offer on your own site is just as illegal. Now i may be just a "script...

Re: On the topic of PSIX...

But even though I believe Fluff has done nothing legally wrong; I do feel she's walked all over the ps2dev team; not only by her responses, but the mere fact that she mentions it on her PDR without ever having any prior friendly discussions with the team leaders about this. Agreed, my appologies to...

At this point none of this actually matters, it's 3 months down the line and things are set up, regardless of how other people may view or like them, it works well for us, besides the obvious benefits it also gives us a small forum of people who support the software (or at least most of them do). An...

As for making cash on it I generally don't care, although I would like to see some trickle down to the less financially fortunate of the ps2dev.org group of core developers. I am not one of these and do not need donations. I do this for my own entertainment and share freely with anyone else willing...

Personally, i hope homebrew devs do start charging for their work. As for being squeeky clean, sure i guess, unless you can find a reason to say that charging for access to a forum and betas is ilegal?. It comes down to this, Oopo and crew don't like the idea that homebrew devs using their software ...

The whole "Lite" and "Pro" thing is just a bad naming choice on our part, we made the descision to change it pretty much the day after launch, when the public build is updated it will become "Psix x.xx Stable", and internal releases will be "Psix x.xx Beta"

My appologies if the concept of this project is looked upon as some obsurd way to increase sales, it truely isn't. I personally do not care if psix is free or not, as the page says i'm not making any money off of it anyway, i have done as i said i would and spent my share on starting out developers,...

This projects dead, i wont be working on it anymore, and i am not giving permission for my own artwork to be used, so if someone feels like messing with the source and releasing something themselves, they'd damn well better do their own graphics too. I'd personally like to thank MSX for the death of...

i would suggest the following for controler input. L1 = L1 R = R1 analog up+L1 = L2 / R1 = R2 analog down+L1 = L1+L2 / R1+R2 analog left/right + select = Menu saves complicated button combo's for trivial tasks, and besides that people suggesting "select+<key>", doesnt work on a psx emulato...

i highly doubt the update checks only the sfo of the update program :) it's quite possible that when its ready to unpack, it checks the version number of the unpacked update files before flashing, in which case this method will never work. Before you jump on the 'i know lets replace the files with x...

System regional registry - is it seperate?

I've read over many posts and thought alot about the system itself, noticed a few things which led me to beleive that a section of the bios/firmware is not writable, or at least, is not written to by the official sony firmware updates, firstly, X and O buttons on japanese and US system are different...

if the psp blindly searched the same directory routes on other drives when the source drive could not be accessed, then this may be a viable 'exploit' but i seriously doubt it does, so its putting Test.exe on c:\ and d:\, typing in d:\test.exe in a command prompt, and deleting the file just before r...
