What to do with compiled EBOOT.PBP?

I've been searching this forum for an hour trying to find an answer to how to get the EBOOT.PBP files for the various games & samples to run on the PSP. No info about this anywhere. When I copy it the way I think it should work (to a subdir of the PSP/GAME directory) all I get are errors. Please...

View parts of memory on PSP

I was playing with the .SFO files and noticed that they do not do range checking on the offsets for the variable values. If you set the offset for the TITLE variable to a number beyond the end of the file it will display whatever is in memory at that address on the screen in the game browser (as a n...

Cracking PSP Encryption

There's been lots of discussion about the PSP encryption, but there's little bits in all sorts of different threads, so I figured our best chance of cracking it would be to gather all our thoughts into one thread. So here we go... Here's what I've gathered so far from the forums & some of my own...

Encrypted or compressed?

In working towards decoding the PSP executable files I was taking a look at the savegames. We don't know if they both use the same encoding but for now we'll assume that's the case. Anyway, I think I've determined that the savegame files (at least the ones for Wipeout) are not compressed, only encry...

Did anyone else's PSP background turn pink?

The menu backgrounds on my PSP turned pink on me (as opposed to the usual green/yellow), right around midnight last night. Is this an April fools day thing or a bug? Other than the colour everything is functioning normally. It's not really important, but pink is not my colour of choice and it's gett...

I looked through your forums... no such topic existed that I could find. If it is already being discussed then a link to the topic would be appreciated. Was anyone going to answer my question? Even a simple "we don't know yet" would suffice... I know there hasn't been much time to work on ...

Games on memory card

I noticed on the PSP that one of the options for running games is off the memory card. Has anybody looked into this yet? Does it have development potential? Can we make fully fledged games or are they run in some sort of limited environment (ie. Java)?
