I've been playing oldskool 1990 PC games on my PSP (via PSX ports or SCUMMVM or even Amiga ports). DOSBox and DOS emulation on PSP is way too slow. Even FreeDOS on bochs emulator is still slow (well it's not slow to run DOS and use DOS but it's slow to run the DOS games under DOSBox or FreeDOS on P...

Dosbox .73 is out, hopefully we'll see another port :D Mighty speedy update there Wally! This is quite a major release, there are a few things that'd help the PSP port... Various fixes and improvements for the recompiling core - Speed! Don't keep batchfiles open during execution. Allows rewriting o...

But is possible a virtual keyboard ? Most homebrew use it It already has one - p-sprint. There are other, but psprint is the only keyboard code for PSP that gives all ASCII characters like on a 101+ PC (AT/XT) keyboard. I tried the msstor0: image mounting on a 32MB stick (the bundled one), and it caused DOSBox to crash with the same circumstances and message as the FAT12 thing. Odd. Yeah, that idea is a little ignorant. Not flaming you, just being blunt. Considering Linux is an open-source OS, it'd be much better working from the ground up rather than 'porting' an x86 distro. The work involved in editing code would be tedious and tiresome, not to mention prone to bugs, and in t...

You're right, it's cycleup and cycledown. The reason I used these is because they were added to dosbox .70 and I reused them so as to make as few changes to the code as possible. Makes sense. So mincycles is now cycledown (i.e., the lowest value for autocycle) and thus cycleup is the maximum cycles...

** bump ** Correct me if I’m wrong… but I was doing research on this forum and came to the conclusion of the following with regard to the dosbox.conf file: ‘autocycles=true’ is equivalent to ‘cycles=sync’ ‘cyclesup=n’ is equivalent to ‘maxcycles=n’ ‘cyclesdown=n’ is equivalent to ‘mincycles=n’ Is t...
