Well, I tried to load libsd.irx and audsrv.irx on memory card to get sound support , change the config.txt and see what happen. Nothing, the system boot up normally but xmms tell me that sound card is not configured. I tried libsd.irx + dmarelay.irx, despite deba5er warned us about the compatibility...

Hello DAYAK. I'm not sure about reiserfs but the right command to use ext2 should be: mkfs.ext2 -I 128 -O none /dev/sda3 I didn't realize before the compatibility issues 'cause I was using a windows partition program that made the job without any problems. Remember that you have to preserve all the ...

Some cheating was done as I also have a fat ps2 scph-30001r, but I think all the bits can be put togeather so that someone with a way to run ulaunchelf should be able to get blackrhino running on there PS2 slim. Nothing new, rgrimes. We actually knew that blackrhino can work on PSTwo through only U...

I tried it and I can get keyboard and USB pendrive work ;-) but usb-storage was not compiled staticly in the kernel. While this might be the right choice to minimize the use of memory, I can't use kernel loader parameter to directly use the pendrive as root instead of an hard disk (I'm with a PSTwo)...

Hello cosmito, thanks for the attention. That is referred to the normal PS2, the 'fat' one, since it seems that network interface chip on PSTwo models are different and there are some problems with the linux driver. I'm going to search some infos in order to try to understand better the situation. T...

Here I am with a PSTwo 'SCPH 77004' PAL (no hard disk) and a cable (interface) to connect 'PS/2' keyboard and mouse throug one USB port. Network adapter still doesn't work . See here . This is not a tutorial since I still have many doubts and I need more experience to realize what to do in a simpler...

@davideciarm I'm using your kernel and the initrd.clean provided by bee7 (thanks to both!) but I noticed that usb-storage support was not staticly compiled. Can you recompile it? At this point, with keyboard and pendrive issues resolved, most PSTwo users might be able to fairly boot linux from usb, ...

So.. I'm here again, with a noob question. I still can't understand. I'm trying to compile the kernel (2.4.17) in an attempt to resolve the usb issue, follow the MegaMan's guide but nothing. Initially tried with Cygwin with a discrete headache as result. Now I'm on linux with toolchain pretty setup....

Some page ago it was said that for correctly mount usb pendrive, after all, we need this: mount - r /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part2 /usb BUT with the kernel provided by Mega Man for the ps2 slim issue about the keyboard, I can't see any /dev/scsi path. That test-kernel is the only one I can ...

kernel loader 1.8 and the new kernel work like a charm, mounting pendrive works too. But again the ervomdrvloader.irx error at kernel loader startup and also had to disable ADDRV to avoid kernel loader to hang. Excuse me..I'm a bit confused, can you explain how did it work properly? Here on my V16-...

hello there! I was just surfing around looking for some news about..the longest and trivial matter (on amiga-fan side ;)) ever: porting AmigaOS4 on mac-powerpc (mac mini, power macintosh G3/4..etc). I think it's not pointless, but anyway that inspired me such a lazy and insane thought - anyone have ...

I see today that one of the most popular and useful forum out there regarding console hacking/homebrew presentations (and not only) - psx-scene.com - have reported this upsetting message The site's sql database has myseriously been emptied of it's entire contents. Even a duplicate backup database is...

load a jpg file on boot (PS2)
Hello! I wish to assemble a cd that can boot into PS2 and do the follow jobs: 1. show a .jpg file, even (but isn't really necessary) with a fade in effect or such. 2. stand by on that for 5 seconds. 3. fade out the image and then switch out and launch an .elf prog of my choice. I first thought about...
